I was thinking about pulling the trigger on the MOFI release of this but then decided to pull my copy out for good measure (1977 Terre Haute) and decided nah. I'll stick with what I got. This sounds fantastic. Despite a bit of surface noise I can't imagine it getting much better.

An absolute masterpiece of an album that basically announces Miles' noncomplicity with traditional jazz and his experimentation with different types of music and sounds that intrigue him.

Edited 2 years agoThe mastering on this Terre Haute is outstanding, and beats the MoFi in clarity and liveliness. Everything sounds fresher and more alive. It's also cut louder than the MoFi, which helps to offset any surface noise on an older pressing, though mine is very clean and quiet. -
If runout is really etched, this is a canadian copy with US label
US copies were stamped with teh same label
