This is a top 10 album from the year 2000. Could have been even higher up if they would have scrapped a few darlings that now kill the good mood. (I’m looking at you “Caliente”, “All That” & “Bring It Right”). Thankfully there’s plenty of heat here also. DJ Premier kills it in usual fashion, I especially like when he scratches in a bit of Gang Starr in the hook to “Defeat”. But “Equality” is equally dope! I also love the Da Beatminerz assisted “D&D Soundclash”. All in all it’s a really nice album definitely worth your buck.
