worth noting that Boomkat makes most of the Echospace [Detroit] catalogue (and often) vinyl releases available for as lossless FLAC files.

i believe that beatport is one of the only few places that you can get this , which sucks, cause beatport sucks, but believe me when i say it is worth setting up an just to get this (who am i kidding, make sure you get ALL echospace material while you are there, you WON'T be disappointed!) This album focuses on the more dancey side of the label, and it is simply SLAMMIN. heh, always wanted to say a silly term like that in a review. at any rate, there has not been a label since basic channel that has taken the classic detroit sound, and updated it with such a sense of class, purpose, and musicianmanship. i know basic channel is the benchmark, but in the past couple of years, i find myself gravitating more to the records on echospace, which is saying alot. there is just so much ion, and you get such a special feeling listening to anything these two guys put out, whether it be ambient, dub, or full on like this album. actually, this is pretty much the only full length album on echospace that rocks so hard, perfect for driving, dancing, walking, whatever. echospace is one of the best, if not the best label to emerge in the post "glitch" electronic music scene, and if you haven't checked it out by now, start here for some infectious grooves sure to make your booty move (yeah, couldn't resist, sorry).
