I have this one as well. It has punch and grit, but it is for sure muddy. I have the 2017 remaster too and actually prefer it because of its detail. This version isn't horrible however.

Edited 8 months agoHaving owned a copy of this pressing since 1986 I have to say it is pretty awful. Surface noise, lifeless acoustics, muddy mix with pronounced distortion towards the runouts on Sanitarium & Damage Inc. This comes from squeezing nearly 55 minutes of music onto one disc... However this is the only version I've ever had so despite it's considerable flaws this is the version I grew up with & I love every messy minute of it. If you're chasing 'Talica 1st presses, avoid this one, it seriously isn't worth it. However the Black album 1st UK press is blow-ya-socks-off stunning so grab that one instead!
