Absolutely worth the money! Analog sounding + it really packs a punch, super well balanced with a good amount of bass and treble. Came in rice paper mofi style inners too!
-
Amazing pressing. This is how it's done, folks. No surface noise at all outside of the noise that was on the records they sampled. My one minor complaint is that the text on the labels is basically unreadable, almost as if nobody saw them until they were all printed up.

No flaws in this pressing for me. Sound great, no complaints. Another stellar album for the boys, a great pressing to own if you want this album!
-
My copy has XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX overtop part of the deadwax. Anyone have this also? And what does it mean?
-
This is a fantastic pressing for a fantastic album. My copy plays fine and has none of the defects that have been mentioned here. It's best played loud. Like all of the Beasties stuff, this one's a mood setter, for sure.

Edited 3 years agoFor me, this is Beastie Boys best album. Yes, the earlier stuff is great - but the hooks on this album is what made Beastie Boys superstars. This was their fourth album, they're breakthrough to the mainstream - but this still sounds as raw and fresh as anything they released before. Funky as hell - the boys didn't compromise for anyone. A must own - in any decent collection. This pressing is dope.

Hmmmm. Dunno if I got a bad pressing. But this has a lot of sibilance. Especially on Get It Together. Kinda disappointed but the pressing itself is immaculate.
-
This record slaps! Super good sound. Present and clear. Nice bass. No harsh static or pops. This is the one you want.
