Edited 2 years agoTroubles in Nice and Stoned mix especially.
That's NOT about sound quality or tracking but the audio signal is recorded with both gaps (like a bad edited tape) and unstable speed (like a pitch control problem) pretty audible in several parts.
BPM drift here and there, suddenly or slowly, making impossible the beatmatching.
Some drop out in the Nice eagle mix too, around the middle and in the final vocal part.
Stonebridge mix looks fine.
That's probably due to some master source problems (tape or digital); seems like both missing frames and pitch drifting.
Not sure if it's just about a limited stock of copies but, honestly, i don't think so.
Pretty weird for a definitely not poor label, also if at the first releases.
Obviously no issues in the original Champion press (and other labels too as far i know).
