Awesome!! Discovered this online years ago. Found again last week sealed and way underpriced for $20. One of the many holy grails for me
Before that, I found "Fantasic Party" where Staff Carpenborg lies and "Beautiful Rivers and Mountains". The korean psych comp of Shin Joong Hyun (the guitarist from "The man who must leave")
You get 2 lps of late 60s-early 70s fun funky freakbeats from all over. Ethiopia, Turkey, Italy, Nigeria etc. Personally I'm a huge of that Soviet era eletronica drenched nugget "The Big Search". If you can find this, grab it please. You won't regret it!
Ran out of sleeves at the time of writing this. So haven't checked inside of its gatefold yet -
Does anyone know if this is mastered from digital sources or vinyl sources, or from the original analog tapes?

Bought this record by complete chance and so glad I did. This is an awesome collection of funky kinda breakbeat songs from all over. I see in the reviews some people had issues with the vinyl they bought but mine sounds perfect. Love it+++

If you want to know more about this record (in french) https://disquesobscurs.fr/2014/03/psych-funk-101-compilation/

Great songs for the most part, but man side 3 is pressed so far off center I get nauseas from the wobble. And i'm not a stickler for that stuff.
-
hey dudes, my copy is missing "The Group - The Feed-back" from side C. Is this missprinting common to all the copies?

Edited 9 years agoThis extraordinary psych funk compilation features some very nice and rare songs on heavy vinyl pressings with fantastic sound in a heavy cardboard gatefold sleeve! Absolutely fantastic!
