VERSION #7
RELEASE: Unknown quantity pressed around the year 1989.
SLEEVE: Red ink printed on glossy white paper sleeve. Raymond Pettibon's artwork on the front and back covers is exactly the same as the 5th and 6th pressings. The sleeve is cut in an upward arch across the top edge of the front and a crescent downward across the back top edge to apparently increase ease of retrieving the record from the sleeve. This version does not have a barcode.
LABEL: The labels are now blue instead of pink and have a redesigned layout. The top of the labels have the Black Flag font and four bar logo instead of the SST Records logo, and each side is labeled as "Side One" and "Side Two" instead of "Side A" and "Side B". This is also the first time the A-side label incorrectly lists the duration of Nervous Breakdown as 2:55 instead of 2:05.
VINYL: 7” pressed on translucent yellow vinyl with a small center hole. The runouts are etched and now include a Rainbo Records catalogue number on each side.
PRIMARY DIFFERENCE(S) TO PREVIOUS VERSION: This pressing now has blue labels with a redesigned layout. The vinyl is translucent yellow and the runouts now include Rainbo Records catalogue numbers.

Hm, my cover is red like this one but my record says 1978 and looks like the one in the picture from the sst-001 1978 album, black vinyl with a pink reddish label? and on the back of my red cover it also says 1978?

Edited 8 years agoOne source gives 1985 as the release year. I bought mine new from a store in 1988. Does anyone know for sure? And this version is on GOLD vinyl, not yellow. For comparison to yellow translucent vinyl, check the photos here: https://discogs.sitiodesbloquea.com/Insted-Well-Make-The-Difference/release/1915246
