Edited 5 years agoThis is one of the 10 *top ten' reissues from 1997, that where launched in both US and UK; there has been some debate on whether these truly are analog masterings. On my stereo that, although a decent setup, can not count as not high-end, it sounds very good, with a nice clear and warm timbre, no background noise. Very nice listen. -
Edited 5 years agoDon’t have an original to compare against (just CD) but this version sounds very very good. Sax is haunting and definition and clarity of the mix is superb. Listening on a high end turntable and system which is capable to show up poor recordings.
Sleeve is a nice satin Matt finish, vinyl is weighty and cleanly pressed, centre label looks the same as all other blue notes. Quality reissue from the original analogue masters.
