Not sure if I got lucky or what, but my pressing is absolutely fantastic with no surface noise (I do clean my records though)
Incredibly lush sound, and super wide sound stage. -
-
Such an amazing mature double-album, but a pretty mediocre pressing I can kinda live with, though. I wished they took all consequences and sold both albums separately instead of packing them together.
-
My copy sounds and play great, maybe not too silent to say that is perfect, but is still really enjoyable and have a deep sound

Unfortunately, it seems that MPO is no longer capable of pressing a record without non-fill. The copy I received had it very badly, and it sounds like most others do as well. Thankfully, I was able to return it.
-
The copy that I have definitely isn't as bad as I thought it would be based off some of these reviews. My copy isn't dead silent surface noise wise but that noise definitely isn't overpowering. Once the music comes in it's all drowned out and the music sounds very nice and detailed.

My copy is dead silent, flat, on-center, and sounds gorgeous. Straight out of the jacket it needed a good wash (was absolutely filthy) but once cleaned, sounds amazing.
-
Great album, probably there best yet IMO. The sound is very low on my pressing though, have to turn it up 1/4 of what I usually listen to.

Edited 3 years agoI was worried about the quality of the pressing reading some of the reviews here and sad to say my copy is subpar. Just as some others mentioned there is a lot more surface noise on my copy than you would expect from a brand new pressing, especially considering the caliber of Live Vol.1 and Hideout. Maybe I'm being nitpicky because the material is so, so good. They've done the thing that every good band tries to do imho, they've expanded and matured their sound while staying true to their roots. Honestly for me, this album is for 2021 what Fleet Foxes's Shore was for 2020, just wish the vinyl pressing had been the same.
