Great LP, has a few pops on side 3 towards end of Movin On, looks to be divit in wax, but for for $20USD with Amazon Special, so not complaining
-
Edited one year agoImpeccable sound quality. Lush, majestic arrangements of some of Weller’s finest songs. Has the feel of a set of freshly-minted standards for a new era. Simply sublime.

Sound quality is excellent.
Nice orchestral take on these Weller songs.
Sounds wonderful on my VPI with Soundsmith cart. -
Finally got this. Cleaned it before playing and removed albums from the paper sleeves.
Albums appear to be flat and play well. No complaints here. The sound is nice and mellow. Love the arrangements Weller did here. -
Music is fantastic and the mastering sublime, however after 3 copies I give up on finding an acceptable one. I will wait for some future repress.
The First one was warped and noisy, the second dirty and noisy, the third not only is dirty, but also noisy, one side is warped and two sides are off center. All of them came with some level of rumble.
First two came in black paper sleeves, the last one included poly lined inners...
The level of inconsistency of vinyl production is unbelievable these days.
All in all a missed opportunity -
The music is great, unfortunately my copy is noisy as hell and has A LOT of clicks et pops… This will be a better listing experience in digital.

Edited 3 years agoFantastic overall. Tip on shining gatefold sleeve with tiny book inside. Pressing is marvelous too. I am impressed by this release . Yep. No poly inner sleeves which should be a must by such a luxury release, but nothing else to complain. No pops, no whatsoever….a gem of a release

What an amazing LP. Weller has a back catalogue almost unparalleled in British music since Lennon and McCartney and these arrangements are sublime. This pressing is superb and sounds fantastic.

Well the sound is amazing, the discs are superflat and very heavy. But yet again, a [priced] LP comes in plain paper innersleeves. Would it kill the companies to provide buyers with decent innersleeves? Apparently it would seem that way. The gatefold is heavy card stock, but the discs are so thick that getting them in and out is a chore, so they are living outside the album jacket. The inner book is very nice, but why was it stuck to the inside of the album cover? Music is definitely 10/10. Packaging is shoddy, and gets a 5/10.
