if i catch the dumb mf that released this on single vinyl rather than double and removed some of the tracks ill ring his fcukin neck! fact.

Edited 4 years agoCome on.... Someone do a proper FULL 2LP re-issue of this classic!!!!
Better still make it 3LP and throw in the instrumentals too!
-
This album should be rated up there with Dr Dre's "Chronic", Snoop Dog's "Doggie style", Wu Tangs "36 Chambers", Nas's "Illmatic" a sure fire Rap classic if you ask me.

Edited 6 years agoI always rated this album very highly and thought it was his best project, the whole album has a street feel and reflection that does not pull any punches.
Not many artist can go this deep and convey what its like to live like this or how cold and dark it can be when your young with no future and many people around you are either on drugs, in jail, been killed, doing crime, the list goes on and on, but Ice has done it and made a master piece in the process.
When i listen to "The Tower" with John Carpenter's "Halloween" backing you get the raw atmosphere Ice conjurer's up, you can get goose bumps listening to this track.
The Iceman Cometh, The Iceman Done it.
Please listen to the whole album before you judgement. -
wtf, this just aint right, this is one of the all time classic hip hop albums, ice ts magnus opus, an epic, vivid and powerful depiction of a certain LA lifestyle. highly recommmended but vinyl release doesnt include all the tracks.
