Sounds awful to me – very compressed and grainy, lacking punch and detail. Very disappointing when listening back-to-back with excellent pressings like the recent Boards of Canada reissues. -

Edited 2 years agoIf anyone has Disk 1 for sale, please let me know. I took long to crack it open and my due date for exchanging was gone. Media came ridiculously warped and SO offcenter that you could see the grooves curvy like a river. A Bummer.

The high end is fantastic sound overall is great but I recommend turning the bass up a bit. No static on mine, either I got lucky or people are complaining about noise that’s simply part of the album.

sounds considerably better than my black 2016 pressing. some pops and cracks present from the samples used (i.e., the same ones you can hear when you listen digitally), but none that i can hear coming from the mastering of this pressing. unfortunately, some samples have been removed - for example, this pressing has the modified version of frontier psychiatrist. regardless, very happy to own this!

Anybody else receive one that’s badly warped? I e-mailed Customer Service for TTL. Are they good about replacing defective stuff? I sure hope so. -
