Unnecessary release as a tone poet - there are many many albums that could’ve taken its place and actually deserves a reissue.
It’s average at best in of music; pressing is fine and at par with the rest of the releases under this category. -
Nice and easy listening music
Nothing really strong here. It is close to elevator music. It is well recorded with wide and deep sound stage. But, again, nothing special musically speaking
Pressing is quite, flat and centered

Some small non fill rips on side 1 unacceptable for product so will exchange. While the musics great this is not the best sounding TP tbh, the cymbals dont sound great and are bordering distorted to my ears but its the recording in fairness and its as clean as it can probably sound bar the non fills. I would have preferred it a little rolled off so it offends abit less but its not a deal breaker. Otherwise very good, usual top notch jacket quality and lovely chilled tunes!
EDIT: 2nd copy much better, there is still a little lesser visible non fill but it plays through noise free this time all through the entire LP. Its perfectly flat and centered. I will be damned if it doesnt sound a tad better than the first copy even if i remain convinced its not quite audiphile demo stuff. Awesome music though -
Great packaging: glossy cover, thick cardboard. Poly inner sleeve. Cristal clear sound. Great recording.. RTI + blue note = very good solution to discover jazz classics in a nice way.

Pleasant jazz fluff. More of an easy listening vibe than what I have come to expect from a "Tone Poet" moniker. That said, pressing is flat, quiet and clear. Just don't expect to plumb any depths here - more of a pleasant BG music experience.

My copy was $24.99 on Amazon. I thought it was too good to be true, but I was wrong. The copy I received plays beautifully and sounds just like a Tone Poet mastered by Kevin Gray and pressed at RTI should, super quiet sound floor, absolute clarity, full stereo image, and plenty of punch— and the packaging is flawless, with solid photography, liner notes, tip on jacket and poly sleeve. This is another win for the Tone Poet series in my book.

Brilliant press and excellent remaster. At some points, Green’s guitar sounds a little hot, especially on track 3, but we can blame Rudy for that! This is a fun collection of recordings; I like how they are all pretty much jazz work-outs sandwiched between Latin standards. Highly enjoyable.

The LP was already badly scuffed when opened . The QC must have been out to lunch . Tired of having to send back new pressings of vinyl
