Bought new and sealed. A lot of debris on vinyl when removed from packaging.
It's nice enough, but when compared to Boy and War remasters, it's lacking. -
Just a touch of distortion heard on Side 1, Track 1-- "Gloria." Other than that, absolutely stellar pressing: heavy, flat & quiet, nothing but Uilleann Pipes and the murk and fog of a rainy Dublin fall. My acid test for October has always been that distressingly long silence ramping up to the piano in the title track. ed with flying colors. Perhaps I lucked out. GZ pressing, after all. One never knows. Selah.
