Edited 10 months agoMenacing Mood Music. This album is awesome. Looks really cool and sounds great but unfortunately clicks, pops and the occasional crackles abound. Now, in my case, it might just be sh!t in the groove... I don't know. I haven't wet-cleaned my copy but rest assured that if you get one that is absolutely silent then you have a miracle baby and are truly blessed. This is a very handsome release, but it could do with listening notes. A 4-page insert with notes and a movie still corresponding with each track would have made this a stellar release. The music plays... it sounds chilling... but it would be nice to know what is going on in the movie as I listen. Ratty paper inner sleeves are a further disappointment.

Edited 2 years agoNo surface noise, one can notice change to cheap(er) manufacturing practice though: no tip on cover, hype sticker on shitty paper, cheap paper innersleeves (at one stage they started adding replacement high fidelity sleeves to every record ordered).

Maybe I lucked out but mine sounds good.
QC seems to be lacking, as these reviews so far make it seem like a 50/50 crapshoot. -
Had to return this. Side A was so horribly pressed the first two tracks were totally inaudible! Part of the edge of the wax was rippled and there was a very loud crackle for the first 4 or 5 minutes of play. So disappointed, I'll be waiting for a different version of this one!

An uneven pressing in my opinion. Overall the discs are quiet enough but there is some distracting sibilance in the higher s when the volume and dynamics increase. I will clean the records and see if that will make a difference.

no issues with sound on mine. beautiful packaging and wax color! very happy to have this in the collection.

Horrible pressing. Disc 1 has static throughout the first 5-10 minutes on both sides. Haven’t listened to disc 2 yet.
