Beautiful pressing, a little bit noisy though with a few moments of brief but noticeable distortion. Overall still listenable and a fantastic album. -

Edited 2 years agoYes this has the mono version of This Will Be Our Year with horns. Overall sound quality is decent, maybe a bit muddy in some places. The pressing itself also isn't bad, lovely color, flat and thick, with almost no surface noise, with the only flaw of some inner groove distortion noticable in the vocals of the last track of each side.
Artwork wise I don't like that for Varese pressings they write the band name and title on the cover again, although it is already included in the original painting... The OBI is nice though. Being another one who got this ridiculously cheap at Deep Discount I'm very happy with it overall, but I think I prefer the recent Repertoir pressing which sounds cleaner to my ears. -
Soundwise no better or no worse than any of the modern reissues of this record. The best vinyl reissue sound wise for me, has been the 2014 RSD pressing. Otherwise a flat, quiet, cool color pressing of this album. Just don't expect an analog, audiophile wonder. I paid under 10 dollars new, no complaints here.

Is it just me or is “This Will Be Our Year” the mono mix? I thought the horns shouldn’t be there if it was the stereo version? -
