Edited one month agoSuperb production….. well, it’s a Blue Note mastered by Grundman and pressed at Optimal (Ger) so I expected the quality.
It’s not ‘quite’ up there with ‘10 New Songs’ which is another Digi production that sounds organic on Vinyl but it’s still extremely good.
I love how we are getting more and more on double Lp’s with less tracks on each side so they can use the room to afford these the dynamics they deserve.
Perfect pressing with my one, flawless, almost silent, very little anomalies, at this standard I prefer to call them ‘Features’ lol.

Ausserordentlich gute Pressung, musikalisch top, Herausragendes Tribute- Album. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.

Stunning - this may well be the best sounding record, in of soundstage and dynamics, that I have ever bought (and I have bought thousands). It refutes the hypothesis that digital recordings cannot sound great on vinyl: they do. Most of the Blue Notes of this era sound spectacular (Bill Frisell, Charles Lloyd etc).

Edited one year agoagree with previous reviews about dynamics and sound quality. but disc 1 is audible off- centered

Sehr gute Qualität der Pressung und der Aufnahme, absolut Empfehlenswert.
Very good quality of the pressing and recording, absolutely recommended. -

Perfect sound and almost perfect pressing. What a great collection of songs, Bernie Grundman did an excellent job in mastering, and the songs are tastefully brought by a variety of world class artists. A gem in any collection

Excellent record musically. My copy has a repeating tick for about a minute at the end of B side, except for that it's very quiet. Still highly recommended!

Clean, flat, amazing sound stage, the bottom end is off the charts. The vocals are spot on and perfectly centered, Sarah's halleluajah is spine tingling and likely the next audio show go to for auditions, it is So good! Thank you Blue Note for putting this compilation to vinyl in such a respectful and caring rendition. Mr Cohen, is a favorite spin for me, and this is just a lovely tribute to him and his memory!
