Sounds wonderfully clear with a very low noise floor, but doesn't have the three dimensional, holographic quality of the old analogue releases

I have a US original and this reissue is right there with it in of sound. Excellent reissue and one I highly recommend.

Replaced my 1968 UK mono version with this, as it is now worn out after all these years and I only keep it on the shelf nowadays. Very happy with the sound quality and low noise of this version, a great repress by Repertoire records which is a label quickly growing on me in of affordable represses of 60s psych rock.

Edited one year agoWorth it in my opinion. Vocals are clear but not harsh. I could give lots of cliche's...but again, it is very good. Excellent actually.
I A/B'd the '68 Santa Maria pressing with this one. '68 pressing is more balanced, but it is at best a good copy with a lot of crackle. So this will be my go to copy. I think I paid 30 dollars new for this one
Playing it through a Harman Kardon 730 Twin, Technics SL-7 w/Stanton747s cart, Wharfedale Linton's -
