The Flaming Lips – Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots

Very nice package, and the vinyl plays through as well as anyone could hope. Sound is clear with good separation and great balance between highs and lows. I am very impressed with the quality of this release (and that goes for each of the Lips' vinyl box sets released so far), and for the original price paid through the band website, this was great value for money. If you like the Flaming Lips, then you really should consider this for purchase.

First, its AWFUL that Michael Ivins has been erased from this boxset, second, the version of Go on here has the Sparklehorse vocals almost erased, Third, they left out a cover of Knives Out that I particularly like, but decided it was good enough to go on a 12" THAT YOU HAVE TO BUY SEPERATLEY!!! this boxset is cool if you want cycle through different radio versions of fight test. The Flaming Lips are my favorite band but I hope I never have to meet Wayne Coyne in real life. Seems like one them boomers who ate too much lead and would give the thumbs up to completely erase 1/3 of the band that made your critical masterpiece. I will however love to meet Michael Ivins one day. Apparently his favorite album is the Herb Albert album with all the whipped cream on the cover. Wayne coynes favorite (photo) album is probably the pictures of himself with his tongue up Miley Cyrus's asshole

Wow. Imagine being one-third of a trio who recorded one of the greatest albums of all time, only to be completely left off of the 20th anniversary edition box set. Michael Ivins not only isn't mentioned anywhere in the credits, but he's been cropped out of every picture. It's sad, and he deserves credit for his amazing contributions to this album.
