To make it short, this is all I lived for in 1981 @ the age of 17..... It gives me goosebumps still today! My eternal love: 'These are the things that dreams are made of'! It took me years to discover that the instrumental 'pure electro' versions of the League Unlimited Orchestra are even better, though lacking the emotional vibes. -

I've owned the 2003 CD since around 2003 but I've never been happy with the harsh, bright sound that was typical of CDs from the 2000s.
I finally got round to getting the original vinyl. The difference is night and day. If you love this 80s classic, the original vinyl is the only way to listen to it as the CD sounds like crap.
The artwork is also great to look at when it's 12" x 12" in size. -
i have this but Dare on the front is pink and not red as in this pic...the pressing rings on the record match up

Edited one year agoGreat pressing, solid bass, though some issues with sibilance. Of all the pressing I have heard, this is by far the best - including the B2B edition. “Love Action” is the standout track on this release. The quintessential 80s electronica album. -
probably not everyone will agree with me but this record can easily compete with depeche mode's violator this human league album is simply beautiful all songs are wonderful and a stunning record from the first track to the last an absolute masterpiece of its kind beautiful cover beautiful record the wonder of wonders here you are in total orgasm music heaven !!!

Great album. Original pressing sounds brilliant too with nice clear mastering and a slightly less harsh analogue sound. Prefer it to the CD.

Proberly the best album of the year 1981 and at the same time the best Human League album. -
OK how about this? Is the "Love and dancing" re-mix better than the "Dare" original? I think it is but am I alone in this opinion?
