I have a variation on this 2LP that does not seem to be listed anywhere. It is an early pressing, possibly earlier than the generally accepted first pressing. On my copy the label on side D that was replaced as mentioned above, has the same credit on all four sides - that is the copyright credit says P: 1990 big life records and c: 1991 big life records. the ring wording, "all rights of the producer and of the owner" and so on are in a block under the P&C credits they are not in a standed ring around the edge of the label. There are no credits to WAU! Mr Modo on any of the labels although it says on the back sleeve p: & c: 1991 Wau! Mr Modo the copyright in these sound recordings is owned by WAU! Mr Modo big life records are the exclusive licensees for the world. The Matrix in the runoffs are the same as the ones listed here, though I cannot see the word DAMONT. I suspect this is a very early pressing that did not go to market and a later one was then issued which had WAU! Mr Modo copyright credit on the label and the ring wording in its standard place as a ring around the label perimeter. It does not contain the freepost card to mailing list, but this may have got lost over time. If anyone can shed any light on this, I would appreciate.

Edited 2 years agoI got a second hand copy of this in pristine condition, got it back in late 90s..... I checked the sound quality, very special indeed, also, even though the grooves are rather tight, compared to the 4lp version, it sounds quiet and with good presence, I love it!!!!!

Holy moly! Just picked up a copy of this... wow, where did that bass come from!
A special pressing indeed! -
Considered one of the ultimate classic ambient albums of the 90's and certainly is within one of my favourites, while not top 5 it is certainly something to add to your collection. Worth looking for a NM version, it's a timeless classic that will always keep it's value.
