This version is nice. Great dynamics. Soundstage is nice. Packaging is perfect. Vinyl is flat and quiet. If you love this album, definitely consider it for your collection.
Played on:
Rega P6 with Apheta 2 and Aria Mk3 phono
Rega Elex Mk4
Sonus Faber Amator Lumina II’s
Rel T7x -
A very good pressing! Quiet and good sounding. But why can’t the use polylined inner sleeves for 5 cent when they charge us over 40 euros - and risk damaging the record on transport? But still: I‘m happy with my copy :)
-
Superb quality. No clicks no pops. Listening to it using headphones with high volume (as recommended by the cover) super silent.

I know the original CD version by heart and in this remaster I can appreciate some details that I never got in the cd. It sounds powerful, dynamic... Really worth every penny and year waited.

Edited one year agoWow! Finally, we are facing a convincing RS remaster after all these years. This remaster has everything you might wish for: punch, clarity, details, clean layering, spot-on vocals… it’s all there! I always loved this album but it’s this remaster that really highlights the greatness of Boris Williams's drumming. No offence Jason, but this is next level.
Pressing quality is very good - not perfect, but close to.
I dare to say that this reissue sounds better than my EU first press. Buy with confidence! -
Edited one year agoHave no fear, good ol' Bob got this one right. After years of staring at the OG vinyl going for upwards of $800, I am delighted to finally having this in the collection and sounding fantastic.

How does this pressing compare to the recent wish and show reissue? I own the wish one and the new master is really not that good and I’ve also read about quality issues on show. Does this release also come with the same issues? Thanks for the answers in advance! :)
