Edited one month agoThe jacket pockets for this release are rather roomy, which makes sense as to why these are so prone to seam splitting in transit. My initial copy came with one, then my replacement came perfect but only because the generic black inner sleeves were crumpled up and I guess held the records in place to prevent shifting around. 😂
Either way, I don’t think the mailers used are necessarily the problem, rather FedEx and its horrible package handling. Every single UMG record I receive from them either shows up pristine or damaged, no in-between, with the mailer always beat up, dingy, dirty, punctured, or looking like it was run over. Can’t wait for this contract to end and they go back to using USPS.
It doesn’t help either that they wipe their hands clean and throw us over to Route for damages, who is quick to blacklist after multiple claims. Are we just supposed to pay $60 for a record and eat the damage caused by the carrier? -
I live in the city these are shipped form and it still came with seamsplits. My first copy was bent at the corner as well and the split was bad. Second copy the splits are thin and way more minor than the first damaged copy. May just be worth thaking the L 😭😭😭

My record came with a big seam split, which I'm slightly disappointed about, but luckily the sound is amazing!

The outer jacket came with a rather big dent on the bottom left side of the front cover. Thankfully the vinyl wasn’t bent. The vinyl itself sounds great, no skips.

Edited 2 months agoMy copy also arrived with a seam split and two small tears in the booklet, but it is otherwise excellent. Hopefully if enough people complain they’ll start using better packaging.

Edited 2 months agoMy package came absolutely beat up by FedEx, with the edge of the package ripped, exposing the vinyl from the outside. It ended up miraculously in great condition, though the booklet that was sealed inside has two small rips on the first two pages. I guess I got a lucky copy from the factory.
The record itself is beautiful and sounds absolutely phenomenal. -
Mine didn't come with any seam splits either, but it did have dents and scratches from them packing it together with the signed CDs... Mine also didn't come with any stickered barcode. I know it's this one though because the hype sticker has the catalog number not found on the European version.

I'm in the US and ordered from the US store but received the version that's listed on here as the EU pressing, not this one.
