No other record before or after has captured the intensity of cold earth, the heaviness of falling snow, the weight of winter, the isolation of a city, or the beauty of being crushed by ten thousand pounds of ice quite like this one, coming straight from the tortured and drunken minds of three of Ann Arbor, Michigan's most fortunate sons. First Iggy & The Stooges channelled their motor city madness into fist-clenching rock and roll, and now Wolf Eyes does the same; except instead of raging against sickening sixties flower power with guitars, Wolf Eyes crafts their postmodern pain with the aid of industrial landscapes straight out of Eraserhead and garage sale electronics ripped to digital hell by soldering guns and loops.
