This is an outstanding re issue. Clearly a lot of professional love has been poured into the recreation of this wax.
Highly recommend -
If you want a very well manufactured and great sounding modern reissue of this classic you truly cant go wrong with this MOV reissue. The vinyl is flat and quiet as usual from Record Industry. The mastering has good body and good dimensionality and it satisfies for casual and critical listening. You too will almost certainly be satisfied with this record.
Presentation wise i like it... the gloss sleeve is well reproduced and the cover has a nice contrast to it. MOV use excellent poly inners and i like the resealable outer shrink which every record should come in.
The only caveat is that the Speakers Corner press matches this for manufacturing of the vinyl but offers that oft elusive last 10% of LIFE which brings the recording just that bit more into ones room. At retail prices its worth the little extra for the SC pressing but if id never heard it id be fanboying over MOV again and saying this is all you need. For most folks it still - Bill - will be! -
Absolutely STUNNING pressing imo. Listen to that 'verb on Bill's voice and the light swells of orchestra in Sweet Wanomi. Warm and punchy. Very happy with this one.
-
Fantastic Bill Withers Album and sound quality is decent to my ears for this reissue, no problem recommending this.
-
Punchy and energetic with a solid mix and soundstage. Bill at his early best. Definitely pick this one up

Absolutely fantastic release. Sounds warm and beautiful. The drums come out really well, not flat at all.
-
Has anyone compared this to the Speakers Corner remaster? Trying to decide if it is worth the extra coin.
-
this is an absolutely stunning pressing. highly recommend. bill sounds dynamic and the drums are tight.
-
Anyone else have real issues with their copy? Lots of distortion and muddy sound especially on Ain't No Sunshine.
