...perhaps the most original & important compilation ever, collected 1980 by
hybrid kids-mastermind & ex-mott the hoople-keyboarder morgan fisher. each
group or musician had only 60 seconds for their statement: from protest
folk singer pete seeger, painter ralph stean, psychiatrist r.d.laing over
punk-hereos like the damned, xtc, alternative tv, pretenders or half
japanese to creative leaders like fred frith, simon jeffes, gavin bryars,
robert wyatt, residents, zazou & racaille, michael nyman, neil innes, kevin
coyne, robert fripp and lol coxhill. the musical pendant to the world famous
"schubladenmuseum" by swiss herbert distel, who certainly also had his
minute here. post punk-dada at it's best... -
