Notes
Early 1970s reissue, with lower text ring on labels having the 75 Rockefeller address, but no Warner logo yet. Label variation, pressed at Presswell ("PR"-suffix matrix numbers on labels).
Although B5 is listed with a shorter duration, it actually plays for about 8:28.
Identical GP mastering as: Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin but with 75 Rockefeller address on the rim.

I just sold my personal copy that only had AT/GP on one side dead wax...it's being returned of course...

Edited 10 months agoI have an '82 Allied pressing, SML mastered - GP cut, and while it sounds awesome, this earlier Piros cut Presswell pressing smokes it. This is cut way louder & hotter than the later cut. Then again, it's apples & oranges though.. Two different Piros cuts, both worth having! I just prefer this one more. 👍

Purchased new when it was originally released this is one of my go to records when testing my system. Deep punchy bass and great all around sound quality and soundstage. Compared to a 1980 German pressing that has gotten a number of great Discogs reviews my 1973 US copy blows the German pressing away. No comparison.

Edited 3 years agoI've got multiple copies of various reissues and this one is the WEAKEST of the bunch. Weak signal, flat sounding, not very 3-dimensional nor punchy. Just a dull quiet pressing.
Definitely avoid this one.
