I find the strangest thing about this album is that of all of the songs on this album "It's In The Way That You Use It" sounds more like classic Phil Collins than anything else on the record, and it (apparently) is the ONE song here he did not work on; It would not sound out of place on "No Jacket Required" I'd swear that was Collins on backing vocals, unless his contributions were uncredited, he did not appear on or produce it.

Proving that Phil Collins was more than just a drummer/vocalist. His PRODUCTION skills are on full display here, as well as his arrangements, and overall aesthetic. His drumming (as always) elevates things to a higher level...
Ohh...and ALL the songs are great, and Clapton is in full effect here. (regardless of what the "critics" claimed)

This is not only one of my favorite Clapton albums, but it's also my favorite Collins production, and one of my favorite albums overall.

      10/10

FYI as much as I love Phil Collins, the credits should list Henry Spinetti as drums on track 1 "It's in the Way That You Use It".

Fantastic album, and produced by PHIL COLLINS. His drumming, arranging, and production really stand out here. The rest of the band consists of session greats Greg Phillingaines & Nathan East. Great songs, great playing all around.

This 1986 CD issue is the one to get. Avoid later masterings, as they are severely compressed/limited.
