This record is amazingly fun. My has a sale sticker on the sleeve. I paid more than 2 pounds 50 for it, but it's worth it.

My cat absolutely hates the Lydia Lunch side.

Was a huge Birthday Party fan growing up, and after Junkyard and the Mutiny EP this was my favorite and most played... Excellent pressing quality, 4AD imports all seemed to be superior pressings for the time... consider the Lydia Lunch locked groove side as just an extra treat 😜... I found an extra copy I didn't even know I had, so that one's framed on the wall because that really is a classic album cover... Now Nick is a "literary man" hanging around with the former Archbishop of Canterbury at the coronation of King Charles... There's an NSFW lyric by Joe Strummer on the Clash's "Death or Glory" that is stunningly perfect for our Nick... Give that song a spin and you will probably be able to figure out which one I mean...

So there is definitely a Birthday Party only cd release with an expanded track listing, not currently listed here. I have it ed and it is listed on Nick Cave's website. The thing I have includes the cover of Loose plus a bunch of random studio recordings. The cover art even reads Drunk on the Pope's Blood + Rare Studio Recordings. It is listed as a cd with that tracklisting. Finding so little evidence of its physical existence however.

The [back] cover of the album spells it "ecstacy" (sic), but the label on the Lydia Lunch side of the record spells it "ecstasy".

Excellent 12", the live tracks (in my opinion) are superior to the studio versions (especially Sometimes Pleasure Heads which is superb). The version of 'Loose' is also excellent showing the band in all their stomping blazing chaotic glory (plus its not on the live 81-82 CD)
