A great moment in 21st Century recorded music - the world of the early 00s was filled with a sense of progression and a coming together on the global level. Cross pollinating dance music, recombing many musical streams from the 70s and informed by technology. Jazzanova was at a Vanguard of artists coming out of the broken beat-jazz dance movement and stood alongside peers like 4 Hero, Kyoto Jazz Massive, 2 banks of Four and Nu Spirit Helsinki - each delivering pioneering albums of the genre around the same time. It was an exciting and inspiring brief time. 2 decades on the zeitgeist has moved on, but what amazing artifacts there are to excavate and return to. I love everything about this album and have returned to it often. The Nova held a listening session today for a soon to be released live-in-studio version of this set and there was mention that they are working on a deluxe repress of the original which will be grouped with old and new remixes and a copy of the live in studio version, date tba. I'm particularly excited for the live-in-studio version - the preview sounded great.

This Albim is and always was the holy grail to me. From beginning to end an absolute masterpiece with great connection and flow. Just has a listen at glow and glare, and then takes you back (unexpected dub) ..and what can I say? It certainly takes me back. Where? To a state of openness, understanding and comion.

New standard in electronic music. This is electronic jazz/soul. As deep as the ocean. But diving in it will let you see only tropical fish. A lot of people are complaining about this release but it`s just deeper electronic soul instead of the moody latinesque rhythms. Just take a trip and wake up after 10 times of listening. Best album of 2002 sofar
