      Album Revolution #3:

Dog It!!!!!! "brandosoul" beat me to this one, and that "Cat" can really review his butt off!!!!! Don't get me wrong, it's not a competition, I just know I have nothing on him (I am very honest with myself)...But with that being said, I will do my best...

So, now that "Rufus Featuring Chaka Khan" got everyone's attention (including the other Bands of that time), it was time to take things to the next level....The group (with "Chaka" Khan", "Andre Fischer", "Kevin Murphy", "Tony Maiden" and "Bobby Watson") did just so with their release of their "Self Titled" album...

You can even tell from the album cover, with the circle along with the silhouette of "Chaka Khan's" mouth, that it going to be a fantastic album....

The album starts off with the "Gavin Christopher" penned "Fool's Paradise"...This Ultimate Crown Jewel, was the perfect song to start with, setting the tone of terrific songwriting...The Melody was so infectious, with "Tony's" easy Guitar riffs, along with "Chaka" just tearing it up!!!!!

"Have A Good Time" (2nd Crown Jewel, also Written by "Christopher"), got everybody on the Dance Floor (and it had no room on it!!!!)....

"Ooh I Like Your Loving" (written by "Chaka", "Tony" and "Bobby"), lead you on a "Rufus" ride into their imagination, something they thrived on (and it was the 3rd Crown Jewel)...

"Everybody Has An Aura", is an Out Of This World experience, showing the groups ability to serve up a Groove to great Lyrics..

."Circles" is another Crown Jewel (written by "Timmy Dulaine"), that sounds like it goes in "Circles", with the Guitar, Bass, and Keyboards side by side....

The Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate Crown Jewel, "Sweet Thing" ("Chaka' and "Tony"), is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! "Chaka" singing, "Tony" riffing the Guitar, nuff said!!!!

The 6th Ultimate Crown Jewel, "Dance Wit Me". is another "Gavin Christopher" t, and an another Dance Floor dream, where everyone from "Soul Train" to "American Bandstand" couldn't deny it!!!!!

"Little Boy Blue" is the only t that kind of missed the Crown Jewel treatment...It's not a bad song, it just doesn't have anything on the other songs...

The 7th Crown Jewel Instrumental "On Time", follows the pattern of the group having that continuity together....

The final Crown Jewel, their version "The Bee Gees" "Jive Talkin'", is slower than the original....It is very good, even though it is not better than the original....

      Man, I love this album!!!!!

It was so ridiculously tight, and it continued to rocket them into Outaspace!!!! Ever since the "Rags To Rufus" album, the group has been getting better and better...They were right in the socket with everything at this moment...This was also their most popular and highest charted album....

All the pressure would really be on them, because now they were in the same breath of Bands like "Earth, Wind & Fire" and "Parliment Funkadelic".....That was ok though, because at least right here, the Band could do no wrong.!!!!!!

PS: I hope I did alright to you Guys.......
