Sounds killer! Smokes my copy on Echoes and the Early Years cd boxset. Damn, this is a thick 7inch!

It’s kind of ridiculous to go to all the trouble of making reproduction sleeve and then printing a UPC code on it. Total fail, that is unless it’s a sticker.

I love this little single. The funner, psychedelic, Barrett-side of Floyd has always been my favourite (up to and definitely including MORE). I'd love a time machine to be able to see them playing this stuff live, without the hype and preconceptions.

This vinyl is beautifully produced with attention to period detail. I like the original, genrically 'plain', die-cut Columbia paper sleeve with the train wrap around - very cool. The 8 and a half inch card reprinting the train image is a bit odd (though nice enough), as it has to be stored separately from the 7" sleeve, not fitting, so I'm not sure about the purpose of that. One of my nicer Floyd pieces.

Oddly: this single sits well with the pink vinyl of One Slip 7", another favourite of mine and totally the other side of the spectrum of Emily Play in musical - it's backed with a full version of Terminal Frost, so two x great floyd tracks on a little gem of a single.

Groovemaster - DJ - what do you mean about the "DES stereo mix". I had a quick google of stereo mix and all I found were complaints, nothing about a good stereo mix existing (there seems to be a 2020 stereo mix on youtube and the cover artwork of the train of this pink disc is shown).

Towards the end of the mono-era, as radio stations had more expensive equipment, I understand sometimes superior stereo mixes were produced specifically for the radio stations, not publicly released, sometimes lost - was this the case for See Emily Play?

shame no one had a 4-pin Dinker to cut an OC (optional centre) even worse shame no-one had used the outstanding DES Stereo mix that had been created, that would have really given the Floyders something to buy!
