Edited 2 years agoFrom the comments the 2017 vinyl pressing is better than the original 2010, is that correct?

The final LCD Soundsystem album? Say it ain't so! Unfortunately, though, THIS IS HAPPENING is. Though "Dance Yrself Clean" starts with a lo-fi vibe before it blows up into more familiar territory. "Drunk Girls" is like a party in miniature, but "All I Want" goes in a more romantic direction, electric guitar slides and all. They're still here to make you dance, however, and "I Can Change" gets the hipster new-wave funk going just for that reason. "You Wanted A Hit" is subdued in comparison, while "Pow Pow" switches back and forth from tinkling and spoken word to punchy chanting. "Somebody's Calling Me" brings the tempo down to a slow finger-snap, and "Home" introduces some African-inspired percussion and sounds to close out the album. And even if there's nothing as anthemic or transcendent as "All My Friends" on this album, it's still a great way to go out with a bang. Or at least on a "Pow Pow."
