Well reading the comments I feel very lucky to have an original copy bought it in 1988 and it sound incredible and Mine has the printed inner sleeve.

It slaps, mate. Here's my character minimum. It's right here.

I have discovered that the mere process of adding a big boost to the low bass and mid-high/high frequencies fixes all of the album's "muddiness". Give it a try in Audacity if you'd like.

This is at the very least, Skinny Puppies strongest early album. They seemed to have really cultivated their early sound by this point, worked out all the kinks. If you like ANY of their albums, it's probably a safe bet that you will like this one, probably the only SP album you can say that about.

In my opinion, this is SkP's best record. As any industrial fan will tell you, Skinny Puppy is a pretty inconsistent band, and any release of their's is a gamble. But this album is different; it is fantastic all the way through. It is definitely the place to start with this band and a great starting point for anyone looking to start exploring electro-industrial.
