Easily my most favourite song of all time! The second song known as "Equation" reminds me of Nathan Barley, and it's not bad. The third and final song "Nannou" lights a candle and explores a macro-universe of fantasy within an attic, all run from an old music box. Aphex Twin has manufactured immeasurable greatness like he always does!

Assuming the files on the disc are the same on the Canadian pressing as in the US, the video file is on the disc. You need to turn on the Show Hidden Folders And Files option under Folder Options in Control . Don't follow the autorun installer, it's outdated and doesn't work. There should be a folder called "Content" on the disc, and HCD.mpg is in the folder. It's low quality, but technically watchable. Too bad all the mothafuckin' swears are censored. The ending credits are also missing.

I was wondering if anyone could help me get the video off the CD... There's some folders on the disc, but I don't see any video on it anywhere.

Probably one of the most bizarre, yet awesome music videos I've ever seen. Chris Cunningham is a brilliant director and does great work on RDJ, Squarepusher and the like. Like a lot of RDJ tracks you get taken on a journey that starts off slow and climaxes with a ridiculous drum/sample solo but at the same time intricately detailed and precise.

Windowlicker is a fun and beautiful track made of what are def. porn samples, haha. IMO one of his more heavily produced tracks, especially after listening to the original demo version. The chaotic-sounding glitch quackery of track 2 is really just there for the sake of hidden novelty (hint--open the track in a spectrum analyzer). The third track has a prepared piano sound, like a music-box, and is a pretty song.

"Windowlicker" is pure audio porn with amazing production (check the video out, it's hillarious), and "Nannou" is just straight-up pretty (sounds like it was played on a toybox). I'm not wild about the second track, it sounds like glitch wankery... but overall it's a really solid release.

If you want a hit single that RDJ has put out that ACTUALLY sounds like him, this would be it. Of course Aphex Twin has quite a diverse line but this is closest to his sounds.

You got the more accessible (listening wise) track like 'Window Licker' which has the booty bass-sound to go along with the glitched out beats and samples, and not to mention an amazing vocalized melody (I wonder if that's RDJ). Then ya got his 'equation' track that is his more experimental, abstract approach which we've been hearing since after his ambient phase toned down. And you have 'Nannou' which i honestly believe the band 'múm' got their initial sound from. It has the good old clicks&clacks that all us Glitcheez like to hear, accompanied with his childish melodies created for a demonic baby or something, this is for sure the IDM_esque track on this release.

In my opinion I would use this cd as a real test listener for the sound of that time period that RDJ was interested in. A Superb marketing and artistic release.
