Such a fantastic EP. I love both tracks equally which is impressive given how different their vibes are. Every time I listen it feels like a real masterclass.

Both tracks feel completely immersive, covering a large amount of ground without relying on any dynamic changes or sudden shifts. Just very well executed, subtle elevations and breakdowns.

The A side brings a more emotive, tender and meditative edge, with some beautiful arrangement and subtle building of melodic elements, that swell, morph and evolve in a gorgeous way. Underpinned by a reliable, shuffling rhythm and chunky low end that never overpowers the framework around it, this is a real treat and would make for a stunning moment in those early hours.

The B side is a lot more jagged and gnarly, but despite its extended runtime and foreboding features, never boils over or feels too overbearing. A perfect amount of tension runs through this track which keeps it from getting dull or soulless. The consistent percussion is nicely contrasted by the infrequent strings that float in and out of the track almost unexpectedly.

I can’t voice enough praise for this EP, it’s extremely special to me. A great, great release that I will never tire of.

IMO way better than La Doi Pasi that got released approximately at the same time. Much more mental, and i like when Petre goes all melodious & shit

I agree with Perloone, Petre is one of the masters of creating a really dynamic experience within a minimal landscape. Great stuff, and only gets better with each release.

This is a fabulous release. Really simple, but just so well composed. Certainly one of Petre's strongest releases recently.
