Number 181 in the Northern Soul Top 500 although the image in the original book is of the re-issue :-)

I still wonder after all these years of hoping to find one, might any "The Night" US pressing promo copies (Mowest 5025) exist before they scrapped and went with Walk On Don't Look Back (Mowest 5026). Shame it wasn't released as it would have made a far better single and may have cracked into the Billboard Hot 100 somehow.

Original UK flopper no air time no nothing
Jump forward forward to the UK northern soul DJ Russ Winstanley and the legendary Wigan Casino and this became a Casino legend and EMI re-released it with a new cat number then then re-released the re-releaae on the more friendly Tamla Motown brand as Mowest has been folded and closed but they failed to assign a TMG number which miffed a lot of collectors! Clearly saving a budget on stampers and catalogue paperwork, -
Also released In 1972 On 'Rare Earth' Records in with a different 'B' side 'Walk On Don't Look Back'

I have never seen this issued as a stock or promo copy on a US pressing. Does anyone know if it exists?? I have heard that Mowest Records may have slipped a few copies as a promo #5025. This would be awesome for a Four Seasons collector like myself since I prefer to collect US records due to rising postage costs.
