Seminal Remixes by Armand Van Helden.
The Mission To Mars Mix carried his more standard Speed Garage sound, with an absolutely menacing bassline. What's more notable about this mix is that it proved to be the template for which all Speed Garage tracks were subsequently created. The drums sampled over and over and over again...
The European Vacation Mix was somewhat different for Armand in that he paid respect to the original by keeping the main riff, and was also most notable for it's use of the Big Ben chimes on the drop. Armand's original version of this mix was a Dub with very few vocals (later released as 'Armand's Unreleased Mix' on the "Bring My Family Back" Single). The label requested more vocals be added, at which point the X-Mix crew took over - Lenny Bertoldo and Armand's manager Neil Petricone. Lacing the vocals over Armand's Production perfectly, and in the process taking an incredible track by Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz and elevating it to a new level.
