Notes

Recorded on March 2 & April 22, 1959.
Labels are both side US Mono 6-Eye with Deep Groove, 'Made in U. S. A.' printed below.

• On front cover, we read 'Adderly' instead of 'Adderley' (pic. 1).
• Same mistake on back cover (pic. 2).
• Tracks B1 & B2 are reversed on back cover. B1 is supposed to read 'All Blues' but reads 'Flamenco Sketches'. Vice versa for B2 (pic. 2).
• Same thing on label side 2 (pic. 4).

This copy is earlier than Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue because it does not have 'CBS' below Columbia on labels (later issues do).

This page is not exactly accurate, IMHO. From the research that I've done, first commercial, label misprinted copies of KOB are mostly 1A through 1D, with some exceptions. And alot of the time, the lacquer stamps are not matching. i.e. 1C for side 1, 1A for side 2.

I have searched through all the listings and I can't find the copy that I own. It has CBS 62066 on the front cover, 62066 on the spine and BPG 62066 on both labels. The runout are 1: CBS-S-62066-A6 2: 62066 B5 (There is something scratched out between the 6 and the 2 on side 2). Both runouts are etched. There are a few that are similar but none the same as far as I can tell. The label is the Red CBS one. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. Thanks.

Beautiful pressing and mastering I agree. Got this album (and a whole jazz-collection) from a friend's father who ed away. The best object he could left behind and it still get's a spin every few month's on a rainy sunday afternoon.

I just thrifted a stereo 6 eye copy with runouts ending in 1AJ on both sides plus a #2 on the back in the bottom right corner, misprint with the track order, doesn't match up with any entry perfectly, should this be added as a new entry or would it just be a possibly new variant to add to one that already exists? I'm no Miles or Columbia expert...

This pressing sounds very very good. Plenty of low end and a stellar mono mix. Highly recommended!

Is this a case where the corrected version is more rare than the misprint?
