Not as bad as I had anticipated. SC label has been a disappointment at times. This pressing is likely not definitive but it is a lively and punchy offering. Worth having if it can be found at a reasonable price.

I just received this item sealed. There was no inner even, just a plain white one, so be aware of Speakers Corner Records.... and i did not even listen to this record... Caravanserai was a terrible pressing that i had some time ago. I don't trust Speakers Corner Records anymore as a so called pure analog production.... and "faithful reproduction of original artwork and labels"... my ass....
-
Maybe I was not lucky enough, but my copy is a little bit distorted. Unlike many others Speaker Corners reissues.

Does sound good, i paid £24 which is very fair.
It is however not as good as the Nimbus Supercut which is more expansive, has even cleaner treble and a bit more output.
Both copies do exhibit abit of sibilance on One with the Sun as noted, must be a master tape thing! -
I picked this one up used, I don't know if it's my copy, but the vocals seem a bit bright to me, almost sibilant on "One With The Sun". The rest of the album sounds great, especially the percussions and the guitar.

Edited 4 years agoBy far the best pressing I have ever heard ! Highly recommended. Great sound-stage. Dead quiet vinyl.
