Notes

Original 1st pressing on green/red Virgin labels. The 1st pressing is identified by the labels being 'sunk' halfway out from the centre. With small white circular "VR2 Sex Pistols R.R.P. £3.20" or "VR £3·52 R.R.P" sticker on the front of some copies. For german distribution the records got another sticker on the front to cover the swastika and a sticker with german distribution number on the back.

Later pressings have a single pressing ring, unlike the double ring on this release.
A collection of interview snippets interspersed with radio spots.

An absolutely hilarious listen, looks uninviting on paper but in reality its inspired.
considering when it was produced full credit must go to producer John Varnom who resisted Malcolm Mclarens propaganda narrative and gave the band a voice.
In amongst the debris are some interesting musical fragments, a live version of Anarchy from the nationwide young nation show, a clip of the early demo of Holidays in the Sun that intrigued pistols fans for decades until it finally appeared on the deluxe 3 cd + 1 DVD bollocks box, and their infamous performance on Tony Wilson's so it goes show.

While the albums popularity in the English speaking world is no surprise, seeing the list of other territories where it was reissued many times is very surprising, who was buying this in Greece and Japan for instance?

I think there was another UK pressing run in 1983, my first copy had Virgin publicity material for that year tucked in the sleeve from new.

I have a first pressing in an inner sleeve dated Feb 85, reusing old stock?
