I won a copy of this album, signed by all four of the band, from a local radio station.

If The Fall were "always different, always the same," The Wedding Present are "always the same, always the same." But that doesn't mean that they are anything but endlessly listenable. There's something joyful and infectious about this manic, strummified pop that buoys Dave Gedge's endless cycles of heartache, insecurity and shame. And while that energy may have slackened ever so slightly as the years went by, Gedge's knack for a terse, acid lyric and the band's ability to bring out an understated melody keep their music vital. Bizarro just might be the TWP's best, and that's saying something.
