The high resolution 24bit version of "Vulnicura" is not a big improvement over the regular 16bit format. This has a lot to do with the way this album sounds. The mix is pretty tame in the high frequencies range. There are no crystal-clear sounds like on Biophilia or Vespertine, the kind of sounds that benefit from high resolution audio, except for "Mouth Mantra" and "Quicksand". Drums and percussions are most of time muffled. it's all about low frequencies. However, the 24bit treatment allows you to enjoy full dynamic range of the recordings, feeling all the power and depth of the drums.
