No Digital ver, No repress, No fame. Beautiful peace of work, until today I thought that i know all his works ! Peace.

Just to echo what others have said I really hope this gets a repress like other Stinson/Drexciya projects have in the past and more-so recently in 2023. Such an amazing album.

This really is a deep and interesting listen, an outlier in the Drexciya cannon perhaps but as my years role on (clubs well in past) this becomes one of my most played Drexcyian releases. Contemplating my own life, limitations and eventually contemplating mortality. A deep thinking lesson from the water. Magical in its sound, transportation to transport the mind around and I think I’ve arrived. Listen my friends

yes, the great JS! what would have been on the time if he still makes such great music! but let us be satisfacted by his great works in the past that are never old to listen to it!
This would be great to get a repress!!!!!!!!! on Vinyl where it belongs..... :) -
The drexciyan melancholy.
I really think that knowing that James Stinson worked as a truck driver adds a little something to his music : his music is a poem about freedom and travel loaded with that feeling of loneliness.

A few further things worth noting: the instrumentation here sounds a lot more digital to me - especially the drums - than on many of the other Drexciya LPs. The character of the percussion still sounds broadly similar - we're still talking lashings of 808, but it's *how* they were made that's interesting to JS/GD geeks: I think we're talking a lot of software and samples here, as opposed to the many analogue tones we're used to with Drexciya. Another thing is the melancholy which permeates all of these tracks. Oceanic sadness is pretty unique to this Drexciya LP, in the way that it's more or palpable on all of the songs [rather than one or two - as is the case with most Drexciya albums] whether in the background or to the fore. It's interesting to speculate, given this must have been amongst the last works James Stinson completed. Finally, you might be surprised that in fact despite all the foregoing, there is a extremely JITWORTHY LP hiding within what seem mostly like home listening, made-for-CD-tracks. Turn it up to plus 7/8. See what I mean? Electro till the end, really.

Edited 18 years agoThis LP is definately the most extreme James Stinson release in of experimentation. The tracks do have the typical Drexciyan beats, but the whole atmosphere is rather different; at some times freaked out, but very interesting. This LP will take you to places where music has never taken you before. The first few times I listened to this record I didn't care for it much, I was a fan of the earlier Transllusion releases, this ons just sounded strange to me. But I gave it a few more shots and now I think this is one of the best albums in of forward thinking electronic music. James Stinson truly was an innovator and a great musician.
My favourite track would have to be Consequences. But on this LP it's the whole picture which is more relevant than the single tracks.
