My response to heretic9 is: that's how it was originally presented on the Come Org release. I'd even go so far as to say that the CD reissues of the original Whitehouse LPs have been disappointing in that the long long silences between tracks were omitted in some cases. As a friend of mine once noted, the silences on Whitehouse records are the most obnoxious silences possible! Imagine that...
Still, while this album is a favorite among many fans, I find it a bit on the cold side. "Dedicated to Peter Kurten" is much harder, much harsher. Then of course there's the notorious "Right to Kill" which is surely their nastiest album, lyrically. -
Edited 18 years agoWhen I first listened to this album, I thought it was one of the best Whitehouse releases I had heard. A perfect blend of high-pitched screeches and deep grating noise. The only thing that annoys me about this release is the inclusion of 30 or so seconds of silence in between each track. But, this is Whitehouse, after all...
