Dunno. Never loved this album but this record is great and I start digging it. Sounds much better than my copy of AJFA and on par with other very good Metallica records

The production is fine... It's sounds huge... Of course you can't compare it with enter justice or 72 but don't read all the negative words it's an album you must have with no fillers... Amazing riff job

The CD sounds awful, like a shitty mp3. Is the vinyl any better?

Decided tot complete my Metallica collection on vinyl (til recent I only had the first 5 albums). This pressing actually is pretty good. I will never be a fan of tthe mastering of this album. Damn loudness war, total lack of dynamics. But this actually sounds a little bit better than my CD version. I even can listen to more than 2 songs without my ears getting exhausted.

Just got this pressing today and im pleasantly surprised. No defects and plays beautifully without noise.

With a tweak of my 24 band eq, the album sounds huge on my system. And its not a big dollar set up.
Lars' drums sound like they're in the same room as you. In fact the whole album is very 'live' sounding.

Almost as though they're jamming in your loungeroom.
Far better than the cd and ill definitely be spinning it again and again

Well I find this pressing really disappointing. After tuning my pre-amp a thousand times, it's no use : this pressing suffers from a really poor mastering and I can't really notice any difference between this press and the CD.

Nice packaging and overall, good sound quality... no crackling on mine

I just got this version, and while the sound is not as good as the original release, it's better than the re-release from last year. No crackling on the first tracks, and it absolutely sounds better than the CD version.
