Reviews

This vinyl sounds like shitty doodoo caca. I wanna buy an original or one of them 30th anniversary reissues cause this one sounds like the album played thru Burger King’s toilets.
-
how is this compared to the original 320? i may be buying that one just for improved cover art, but it's a tad pricy.
-
Do not get this if you care about artwork. It is horrible and looks as if they scanned the original LP cover – or even the CD. Bad colors and moire patterns all over. The lyrics seem redone though, and two titles are misspelled which is proof of a sloppy job.
-
This is the real deal. Sounds massive like it should, yet detailed. Really thick vinyl. Almost like shellac but not quite. Rigid and inflexible.
-
Edited one year agoVery impressive pressing. This is one of those records that sounds very different on vinyl versus the CD. If you're very used to the CD, this will have you in awe. Especially in the quiet parts where you can hear Cobain's voice like he's recording in the next room.
Fantastic! -
The issue with EQ settings is that they don't exist in most high end systems... EQ throws a bunch of garbage in the signal path & it becomes more about what speakers to run for a record, the turn table itself, and the phono pickup tracking the album... so for a label to press the product poorly, & then ask the consumer to compensate for their little f up pressing is frankly despicable...
-
this pressing sounds great. The Mixing is amazing, loud and clear. Love the A side, one of the best grunge records, totally recomended.
-
sounds great when you use the recommended eq settings. it sounds too bassy without the eq, like many are complaining of in these comments, but this is a feature not an issue.
-
Not sure, but my copy sounds far too heavy on the bass - really boomy and with no definition, to the point I have to listen to it with flat bass. And I normally like a punchy bass. Have I got a dud copy?
-
Edited 2 years agoI finally got my copy, completely flat and it sounds outstandingly clear. No surface noise, no pops, cracks nor skips. The entire mixing is fantastic. The artwork and inner sleeve deserved a better treatment, but hell, this is grunge!!!!
Edit: As I always do, I took a couple of minutes to clean this vinyl up, it was pretty dirty.
