Despite all four of the band giving only self-deprecating comments when forced to talk about their fourth studio album,it is a major achievement.
That said, the major accomplishment is the fortunately added live disc with recordings from the 1969 informal The man and the journey tour. They show the psychedelic Pink Floyd at the top of their game.Brilliant.
Since neither the studio nor the live album even remotely cater to audiophile standards,it's no use looking for a Holy Grail - there just isn't any.
This European pressing is as good as it gets in my humble opinion, dynamics and overall sonic performance are second to none. And it is definitely on par with the '83 Capitol US rainbow label reissue, in case you you've been wondering.
