"...especially since I'm a bowie fan."

    WtH?

I've been that 40y. I don't buy vinyls bc another ones do. I do that anyway. All should.
And if ppl are not fan of DB ... UH... why they even try to dare stole albums from to them whom really listen to those?

Hey... 180g vinyl is made to be plsaed. Not to be done it as a holy relic. My 1st vinyl was 7" JD's Cwremony 7" gold-covered single.
It was 27y ago very used and I listened it as long ago as yesterday last time. I had no rven a player at that point.

Those are made to be played.

Just like insntruments. Yoj should just got a CD.
Or your fan-meaning is far from mine.

Odd. If you dig him... you listen him... as good way.of quality as possible. So we who play instrumrents acting so differently.

I become a feeling bad thinking this community and many of their's attitude.
I don't enjoy to be here looking as some anf actually 100% too many buy albums only to get profitmoney (opportunistic ones)... three to ten same albums... insane.
    ---
Not as we used to do as we had to save coins etc.1-3 months to get 1-3 used records some day.

I love the album itself, but the clear pressing sounds horrible!

I heard this first on a train to Leeds the day after he died and spent the time trying (and failing) to hide my tears, both for the loss and for the incredible life force that runs through this record. Listen to the end of 'Ti's Pity She's A Whore and tell me it doesn't make your hairs stand on end. Talk about raging against the dying of the light. Just, wow.

I have both black and clear, they sound exactly the same (same mastering).
I spotted last week a clear vinyl at a yard sale for 30€, so don't be desperate, they are out there and can be found for reasonable price.

Hello everybody! I bought two clear lp with 3 lithographs direct from Bowie store after 2 week its exit. Lithographs Was arrived late in december, the lps late in january. Seald Both cover presents a cut on the bottom of the 1 wing,in corrispondence of the vinyl maybe a production defect(does anyone had the same damned problem?). Warner music refund me the money without ask me back nothing. I'd just opened and listened one copy, put on the wall the 1set of lithos. The Seconds lp &lithos for my 3yo doughter when i'll r.i.p. Sorry for my very bad english! P.s. Amazing masterpiece timeless priceless, our brightest Blackstar goodbye

Is the EU clear vinyl press more desirable than the US clear vinyl version? or are they both the same?

The clear vinyl is symbolic-a bright, clear star, David Bowie shining in the sky. This is why the clear vinyl is so special. I haven't opened my clear copy. I have a 5yo daughter. I plan to hand it down to her when she's ready

There are so many haters about white vinyl sellers, but let's be honest: the album is good, but not so much so that Blackstar sales exceed sales of the penultimate albums. All this is simply due to the death of Bowie. And in this we are not honest: and those who are so eager to buy any vinyl, or who so crave white or sells it.

Unfortunately, I also became the same, though i was planning to buy it, but not so fast.
